Our History, Purpose, & Mission

Our History: Established in 1859, Mt. Olivet continues to
serve the community as we share the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the great hope for all mankind.

Our Purpose: To share the good news of God's plan of salvation and help those who accept Jesus Christ as Savior grow and mature in their walk with Him.

Our Mission: We exist as a church to present the gospel
message to all people and to equip believers to become active in personal evangelism, discipleship, ministry, fellowship, and worship.

Our Pastor

Brother Jeremy Childers has served as Pastor of Mt. Olivet since October 2025. He faithfully served as Associate Paster under the leadership and guidance of Rev. Derrick Fowler from November 2018 to September 2025. Jeremy and his wife, Cassandra, have worked in our youth ministry program since 2014. Jeremy is blessed to be called Daddy by Cade and Laney, who are active members of our church. Jeremy participates in our church choir by playing the guitar and as a gifted singer.
